Some of the medications generally produce some side effects. The
side effects may vary and affect each person in a different way.
Some of the side effects that are associated with this Terbinafine –
Lamisil are as follows.
In some cases the prescription of Lamisil has caused indigestion,
nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pains. If any of these side effects
persist it is always better to consult the doctor. This drug rarely
has caused very serious liver disease. Some of the symptoms of the
liver disease include persistent nausea, loss of appetite, severe
stomach pain, vomiting, dark urine, yellowing of eyes or skin.
In cases where these symptoms persist it is better to consult the
doctor. Terbinafine is not recommended in cases of chronic liver
diseases. The other side effects are depression and anxiety.
Some cases of breakthrough bleeding and irregular menstrual cycles
have been reported by women who take oral contraceptives. In some
cases changes in the ocular lens and retina has also been reported.
There were also isolated cases of Neutropenia were reported but
these were reversible with the discontinuation of the Terbinafine
tablets. Some of the adverse side effects are malaise, fatigue,
vomiting, arthralgia and hair loss.
It is not safe for the breast feeding mothers to take Terbinafine or
Lamisil as researches indicate that Terbinafine is passed on to the
milk which is not good for infants.
